About Superior Fence & Ornamental Iron, Inc.
Superior Fence & Ornamental Iron, Inc. has been a family-owned business since 1962. Marvin Tennikait started his business as Superior Fence & Playground Equipment located at 605 E. Edwardsville Road in Wood River, Illinois. Then in the mid-60s after purchasing a small ornamental iron business the company name changed to Superior Fence & Ornamental Iron.
Marvin remained involved with the business until his death in December 2000. His son Greg, who had worked with his father since he was a young boy, then, took over the business. In 2004, the company moved to 12 E. MacArthur Drive in Cottage Hills, Illinois to expand their shop space and include a showroom where there are many samples and pictures of projects.
Marvin ran his business with pride and integrity. There were no projects too big, too small or too difficult. Greg is very proud of what his father has accomplished and continues his business in the same manner.
The hallmark of a Superior Fence & Ornamental Iron, Inc. project is the quality of our work. From inception to completion, we take great pride in designing, fabricating and installing the finest custom ornamental metalwork available.
